Knox County Health Department is now accepting applications for a fall internship. The internship is open to current MPH students of ASPPH-member CEPH-accredited graduate schools and programs of public health. The intern will coordinate the Safe Routes to School Partnership (http://www.knoxcounty.org/health/safe.php), which works to make it safer, easier and more fun for kids to get to and from school under their own power. The internship is unpaid; however, it provides the opportunity to apply classroom learning to plan, implement, and evaluate programs, plus develop leadership skills by overseeing six-10 undergraduates.
