On Sunday, March 22, ASPPH will present a workshop titled “Minority Faculty Mentoring and Career Development,” hosted by the ASPPH Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Dr. Gbenda Ogedegbe (NYU) will lead this workshop, which will focus on career development and mentoring for minority faculty, specifically leadership, stereotypes, and resources for minority faculty development. Invited presenters also include Dr. Kola Okuyemi, Dr. Girardin Jean-Louis, and Dr. Rena J. Pasick, with Dean Cheryl Healton (NYU) as the moderator. The intended audience for the session is both minority junior faculty as well as mentors, tenured faculty, and senior leadership.
The draft schedule of events, registration, and housing are now available for the 2015 ASPPH Annual Meeting March 22-25 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA.
