The Student Leadership Institute is a skill-building and networking opportunity for student leaders at ASPPH-member institutions. The Institute is being planned by the ASPPH Student Services Forum, and will feature Dr. Brenda Allen as a keynote speaker. Registration is required and each ASPPH-member institution is invited to send two students to the institute. Members wanting to sponsor more than two students will be accommodated on a space available basis. The deadline to register is October 16 and the registration fee is $99/student.
The 2016 ASPPH Student Leadership Institute will be held on Sunday, October 30 from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Downtown, Denver, CO, in room Cripple Creek 2. Please contact Tracie Seward at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and registration instructions.
Additionally, students are invited to participate in the second annual Public Health Service Day. Hosted in partnership with the Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice, Colorado School of Public Health, and ASPPH, this service day provides opportunity for public health students across the country an opportunity to give back to the APHA host city. The service day will be held on Sunday, October 30, following the APHA Keynote Address. Students are not required to be registered for the Student Leadership Institute or APHA to participate in the event, but students who are registered for the conference are encouraged to attend.
