The Academic and Practice Linkages in Public Health Caucus, sponsored by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) in partnership with the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB), provides a forum for American Public Health Association (APHA) members to explore and discuss innovative approaches and effective interventions that support practice, education, and applied research by building bridges between academia and practice. Public health academicians and practitioners within public health institutions (e.g., federal, state, regional, local, private sector or non-profit organizations) that administer or participate in academic and practice partnerships are encouraged to submit abstracts to showcase their work.
The Academic and Practice Linkages in Public Health Caucus is soliciting abstracts for the 2018 APHA Meeting to take place November 10 – 14 in San Diego, CA with the theme: Creating the Healthiest Nation: Health Equity Now. Abstracts are solicited for oral and poster session formats. Consideration will be given to abstracts that (a) promote the caucus goals as outlined above; (b) address one or more of the caucus topic areas listed below; and, (c) fulfill the abstract criteria. Please review the APHA call for abstracts page to learn more about APHA’s abstract requirements.
Preference may be given to authors who are Academic and Practice Linkages in Public Health Caucus members; ASPPH members; and/or staff of a PHAB accredited health department. Topic areas for the 2018 APLPHC sessions are as follows:
