Arizona Professor Named One of ‘America’s Top Doctors’ for Occupational Medicine

Castle Connolly has named Dr. Philip Harber, as one of ‘America’s Top Doctors’ in the specialty of Occupational Medicine.

Dr. Harber is a professor of public health at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. His work integrates public health, research and clinical approaches in the areas of occupational and environmental pulmonary disease, respirators, clinical decision analysis and informatics, workers compensation quality improvement, occupational health services organization and occupational ability/disability/impairment assessment.

Previously, Dr. Harber was professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and chief of the Division of Occupational-Environmental Medicine. He directed the occupational-environmental medicine residency. Dr. Harber received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania and his MPH degree from Johns Hopkins. He has been certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, and occupational-environmental medicine.
