ASPPH Accepting Applications for Public Health Philanthropy Fellowship Program: Due February 8th

ASPPH is now accepting applications for the ASPPH Public Health Philanthropy Fellowship Program. This exciting opportunity is sponsored through a grant to ASPPH from the de Beaumont Foundation. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. ET, Friday, February 8, 2019.

The de Beaumont Foundation, based in Bethesda, MD, advances policy, builds partnerships, and strengthens public health to create communities where people can achieve their best possible health. The fellowship program will place one fellow within the Foundation for a period of one year, with a possible one-year extension. During that time, the ASPPH Public Health Philanthropy Fellow will work with national organizations and leaders and have the opportunity to shape and implement initiatives and partnerships in the Foundation’s priority areas:

“The ASPPH Philanthropy Fellowship at the de Beaumont Foundation is a very unique way to jumpstart your public health career,” states current ASPPH Public Health Philanthropy Fellow, Ms. Rachel Locke, (MPH, Columbia). “It provides an opportunity to learn and contribute to public health policy in action, multi sector partnerships that improve community health, and understand how public health practice operates from the ground up.”

To be eligible for this program, applicants must have received their Masters or Doctorate degree prior to the beginning of the fellowship (no later than June 2019) or within the last five years (no earlier than May 2014). Graduate degrees must come from an ASPPH member graduate school or program of public health accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). View the list of ASPPH members. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold a visa permitting permanent residence (“Green Card”) in the U.S., to be eligible for the fellowship program. Preference will be given to candidates who are Certified in Public Health (CPH) and with a background in epidemiology and/or health policy.

The selected fellow will be based at the Foundation’s headquarters in Bethesda, MD beginning in July 2019.  Full list of CEPH-accredited, ASPPH-member schools and programs.  Questions may be directed via email to ASPPH Graduate Training Programs at
