ASPPH and NBPHE staff represented the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) and Public Health Reports (PHR) at the PHS Commissioned Officers Foundation for the Advancement of Public Health annual meeting, the USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium June 8-9, in Chattanooga, TN.
Ms. Allison Foster, president, NBPHE, exhibited at the conference and provided information to attendees on becoming Certified in Public Health (CPH). Ms. Erin Williams, publications manager, ASPPH, exhibited for Public Health Reports (PHR). As publisher of PHR, the official journal of the U.S. Surgeon General and the U.S. Public Health Service, ASPPH provided information on publishing opportunities. Also in attendance were several ASPPH members, including East Tennessee State University College of Public Health, George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, University of Massachusetts-Amherst School of Public Health and Health Science, and the University of South Florida College of Public Health.

This event was a valuable opportunity for the public health workforce to share innovation practices to address knowledge gaps needed to create a prevention-orientation society to improve the health and wellness of all.
