The ASPPH Data Center traveled to Las Vegas, NV last week to present at InteropITX, an international conference that engages technology leaders by offering education and networking opportunities. Ms. Emily Burke, ASPPH program manager of data analytics, delivered a session titled “Data-Driven Decision Making: Empowering Users and Building a Culture of Data”, which highlighted the work of the Data Center in engaging ASPPH members through academic public health data. This work was previously presented at the 2016 Tableau Conference in Austin, Texas. Additionally, Ms. Burke served as a panelist during a session titled “Data Analysis Questions You’re Afraid to Ask, But Need Answered”. Other panelists included Ms. Alysa Hutnik, partner at Kelley Drye & Warren and LLP, and Mr. Rich Wagner, CEO of Prevedere Inc.
