ASPPH staff attended APHA’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Expo this week, hosting several joint meetings, scientific sessions, assembly meetings, and workshops. Highlights include the 2019 Student Leadership Institute that focused on using design thinking to solve public health challenges, ASPPH data team’s presentation on CPH Continuing Education (CE) activities and discussions on evolving public health workforce training needs, the ASPPH Undergraduate Public Health and Global Health Education Network meeting, and nine Academic and Practice and Linkages in Public Health Caucus sessions.
Dean Sandro Galea (BU) and Dean Thomas LaVeist (Tulane) were inspiring keynote speakers at the conference, encouraging all of us to advance our shared goal of creating a healthier nation by collaborating together.
