ASPPH Attends Design & Health Research Consortium Meeting

ASPPH attended the Design and Health Research Consortium Meeting on April 12-13, 2016 in Alexandria, Virginia presented by The American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA), and the Architects Foundation. The meeting welcomed 17 university teams from across the nation, including teams from 8 ASPPH member institutions, who are focused on projects building a culture of health through design. Two ASPPH member teams from the first consortium cohort received funding through a cooperative agreement with CDC, to support and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and partnerships between public health and architecture. ASPPH and ACSA are co-sponsors of the 2016 Fall Conference: A Building for Health and Well-Being: Structures.Cities.Systems taking place September 22-24, 2016 in Honolulu, HI. Dean Howard Frumkin, Washington, who serves on the Design & Health Leadership Group, is serving as a conference co-chair. Please consider responding the call for abstracts related to built environment and human health.
