In November 2015, ASPPH launched the Undergraduate Public Health and Global Health Education Network (the Network) to engage leaders at institutions with undergraduate majors in areas of study that focus on the science and practice of public health, global health, and global public health, as well as those with undergraduate majors related to these fields, in dialogue and discussion to identify important issues and to work collaboratively to advance education in public health. Currently, 166 institutions are involved in the Network, including 45 of our ASPPH members that offer, or are currently developing, an undergraduate degree in public health, global health or majors related to these fields. The Network is guided by an Advisory Group, under the leadership of Dean Donna Petersen (University of South Florida). The next meeting of the Network will take place on October 31 in Denver, Colorado during the 2016 APHA Annual Meeting. To learn more about the Network, please visit the ASPPH website or email ASPPH at firstname.lastname@example.org.
