ASPPH hosted the fourth Virtual Fair of the year for SOPHAS participating schools and programs of public health on November 5-7. Over 50 SOPHAS schools and programs participated in this event, a record number. The November virtual exhibits hosted over 1,600 prospective students from 49 states and 65 countries. In 2014 the four virtual fairs allowed over 4,800 prospective students to chat with 52 SOPHAS schools and programs, World Education Service, SOPHAS administrators, and current MPH students.
The Virtual Fair is a widely accessible forum in which prospective students from around the world can learn more about the participating schools and programs. Admissions officers and program chairs have the opportunity to chat live with prospective students, rate prospects in real time, download applicant reports and chat transcripts, and collect resumes.
Dates for 2015 have not yet been set but we expect to hold one-day or two-day fairs in January, July, September, and November. Any ASPPH-members who are participating in SOPHAS that would like to participate in this interactive online recruitment tool should contact Mr. Wayne Fishell at firstname.lastname@example.org or CareerEco.
