On Wednesday, January 22, 2014, SOPHAS hosted the first Virtual Fair of the year for CEPH-accredited schools and programs of public health. Over 600 prospective students of public health joined 24 schools and programs to speak with admissions representatives, current MPH students, and SOPHAS administrators. The Virtual Fair is a widely accessible forum in which prospective students from around the world can learn more about the participating schools and programs of public health. Furthermore, the Virtual Fair provides the schools and programs of public health with an innovative digital recruitment tool. Students are able to have their questions answered about admissions requirements, faculty research, financial aid, and concentrations. Schools and programs speak to large numbers of students through individual chat rooms where they interactively engage with faculty, graduate students, and admissions officers. The fairs are held four times a year.
