ASPPH invites members to participate in the fourth webinar in the 2014-2015 ASPPH Presents series, “Council on Linkages’ Revised Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals – Applying the Core Competencies”, on January 28, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Faculty and staff from ASPPH member institutions interested in learning how the Council on Linkages’ Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals can be effectively used in developing curricula and trainings are encouraged to join this free webinar. Faculty and staff who are involved in curriculum design and development are also welcome to participate. Participants will hear about recent revisions made to the Core Competencies and learn about resources and tools available to support the use of the Core Competencies. In addition, panelists will explain how these competencies can be used to develop curricula for education in public health as well as utilized to evaluate students. Speakers will also discuss how they can be applied to the development of trainings for the public health workforce. In addition, they will provide an overview of why the use of competencies is critical to accreditation.
