ASPPH Volunteers at Ronald McDonald House Charities for Delta Omega Day of Service

ASPPH prepared a healthy breakfast for residents at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC on Wednesday to promote the fifth annual Delta Omega Day of Service, which connects members through chapter events and service activities. The Delta Omega Honorary Society, founded in 1924 at Johns Hopkins University to recognize outstanding achievement in public health, hosted the inaugural Delta Omega Day of Service in 2012 in conjunction with National Public Health Week. In support of the Delta Omega Day of Service and to celebrate National Public Health, ASPPH volunteered at the Washington, DC Ronald McDonald House, which provides a home-away-from-home at little to no cost so that children and their families can access specialized medical treatment that may be far from home.
