ASPPH Welcomes 2021 Summer Interns

ASPPH is pleased to welcome two Summer Interns for 2021.

Damaris Bell, MPH, a recent graduate of West Virginia University School of Public Health, has joined ASPPH as our first Racial Justice Intern. She will be gathering and organizing resources, products, curricula, and tools related to the Racial Justice efforts of ASPPH members. The materials will showcase promising practices and exemplars developed at our member institutions to defeat racism and structural racism. Following the internship, Damaris plans to attend medical school and specialize in Pediatric Psychiatry.

Ankita Tiwari will be working on a variety of projects, including student recruitment and outreach. Ankita is a rising senior at NYU studying Global Public Health and Biology with the hopes of working in the business sector of the public health/sciences field. Her future career aspirations are to bridge the gaps between corporations and communities through constructive dialogue and communication.
