ASPPH is pleased to welcome a new participant to our ASPPH/EPA Environmental Health Fellowship Program. The new ASPPH Fellow, Ms. Brie Reed, MPH (Touro University – California MPH Program) began her assignment this week with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). During the next one to two years, Ms. Reed will train under the guidance of mentors within EPA’s Office of Research and Development (ORD), Office of Science Policy (OSP).
The ASPPH/EPA Environmental Health Fellowship Program offers outstanding opportunities for recent graduates of ASPPH member, Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)-Accredited schools and programs of public health by enabling them to train at the EPA on high-priority environmental, public health issues. ASPPH/EPA Fellows work closely with nationally recognized experts within the premier environmental health agency in the world. EPA leads the nation’s environmental science, research, education and assessment efforts, while working to protect our health and our environment.
ASPPH was recently awarded a new grant to continue to support this prestigious fellowship program. The new grant award will continue through September 2023. We are currently in the final selection process for the next class of fellows who we will welcome in October.
