The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for faculty and staff at CEPH-accredited schools and programs of public health to gather and focus on common goals, and opportunities and challenges in academic public health. Held annually in the spring, this meeting has programming relevant to CEPH-accredited public health education, research, and practice.
The Leadership Retreat is a three-day retreat held annually in July, and is open only to deans and primary program representatives from ASPPH-member institutions. The retreat provides an opportunity for attendees to get to know their colleagues from other schools and programs with time for both formal and informal meetings and discussions. The collegiality, trust, and understanding facilitated by the retreat are vital to the success of ASPPH. The retreat location varies from year to year.
The Sections Retreat is a three-day meeting held annually in June. The retreat location varies from year to year. The primary purpose of Sections Retreat is to provide these groups with an opportunity to share best practices; increase knowledge; discuss current issues and challenges at schools and programs of public health; and network in an open environment with their peers. The members making up each Section share a common area of administrative responsibility within their institutions. Currently, there are four ASPPH Sections: Academic Affairs, Finance and Administration, Academic Public Health Practice, and Research.
