The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health is pleased to sponsor several sessions at this year’s American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting in Chicago. The 2015 Academic Public Health Caucus will feature five oral and two poster sessions taking place Monday, November 2 through Wednesday, November 4.
The ASPPH-sponsored Academic Public Health Caucus provides a forum for APHA members to showcase and learn about innovations and excellence in education, training, and academic research from both public health academicians and practitioners within public health institutions (e.g., federal, state, regional, local, private sector or non-profit organizations) that administer or participate in academic and practice partnerships.
Topics for this year’s Academic Public Health Caucus presentations include:
For session presenters, times, and location, as well as to find additional APHA sessions, please view APHA’s online program. Current Certified in Public Health (CPH) participants can receive two continuing education credits for each Academic Public Health Caucus oral session attended.
In addition, a business meeting for the Academic Public Health Caucus will be held on Monday, November 2 from 6:30 – 8:00 a.m. in the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place (2233 S. Martin Luther King Drive, Chicago) in Room CC20A. During the meeting, participants will review highlights of the 2015 Caucus, begin planning for the 2016 Academic Public Health Caucus Call for Abstracts, and strategize ways to build membership and engage Caucus members throughout the year. The meeting is open to all, and participation by those who are interested in strengthening the partnership between academia and practice is especially encouraged.
