On the occasion of World Sexual Health Day, The American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) announced the launching of the newly-established Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) Program.
This new program the first of its kind in Lebanon and the Middle East and North Africa region, and is led by a professor at the American University of Beirut – Faculty of Health Sciences, Graduate Public Health Program and the distiniguished OBGYN and women’s health advocate Dr. Faysal El Kak, backed by an extensive team of professionals caters to both men and women seeking to maintain, promote, and enhance their sexual health.
The program encompasses clinical, research, training, and advocacy services on sexuality in general and sexual health. As part of its integrated services, the WISH Program provides a safe space for women and men to address sexual health issues and problems through a full scope of services such as education, counseling, wide- range treatment and trauma rehabilitation.
In addition to his prosperous academic and professional career as a Senior Lecturer of Health Behavior and Sexuality & Public Health, at FHS, AUB, and as a Clinical Associate, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, AUBMC, Dr. El Kak occupies several positions that qualify him to be among the most active physicians in his field in the Arab region, and globally.Friday Letter Submission, Publish on September 13
