Ms. Dimple Mirchandani, a 2015 graduate of Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH), has been named an E3! Ambassador for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs).
In this role. Ms. Mirchandani will focus on expanding mental health services and public health initiatives on college campuses, beginning with Boston University (BU).
“A main focus will be to understand the state of mental health services and access for and attitudes of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders,” Ms. Mirchandani says. “By doing so, BU can create an ongoing strategy to improve its services.”
The E3! (Educate, Engage, and Empower) Ambassadors program selected 23 young leaders for 2015–2016 to advocate for AAPIs. Ambassadors collaborate with the initiative’s regional network of more than 250 federal officials across the country to work on a broad range of issues that affect the AAPI community.
