BU Alumna Named to State Free Clinic Board

Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) alumna Ms. Carrie Bridges Feliz (‘03) has been named to the Rhode Island Free Clinic board of directors.

The Rhode Island Free Clinic provides comprehensive primary health care for uninsured Rhode Islanders — those who are ineligible for health insurance and those who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but not enough to afford health insurance.

Ms. Bridges Feliz is currently the director of community health services at Lifespan, Rhode Island’s first and largest health system.

After completing a master’s in public health, she served as the team leader for Health Disparities and Access to Care in the Rhode Island Department of Health, and launched the state’s refugee health program as a prevention specialist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
