Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas Awards $1.7 Million to Texas

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health has received a $1.7 million grant from the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) to continue an innovative training program for cancer prevention researchers. The continuation grant funds The School of Public Health’s Fellowship in Innovation for Cancer Prevention Research (ICPR) – a training program for predoctoral and postdoctoral students in cancer prevention, focused on innovative thinking. The grant was one of 11 research program grants awarded by CPRIT on February 19.
