Public Health Reports: Evaluating the Evidence for More Frequent Than Annual HIV Screening of Gay, Bisexual, and Other Men Who Have Sex with Men in the United States: Results From a Systematic Review and CDC Expert Consultation

In a recent article in Public Health Reports, researchers from the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and Tuberculosis Prevention, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), report on the conclusions of the systematic review of the literature and expert consultations on the benefits, harms, acceptability, and feasibility of annual versus more frequent screening among men who have sex with men (MSM) conducted to determine whether evidence was sufficient to change the current recommendation.

Public Health Reports: Childhood Obesity in Georgia

In a recent commentary in Public Health Reports, the former US Surgeon General Dr. David Satcher, currently at Morehouse School of Medicine, describes his experience with the Georgia Shape initiative which makes use of the data collected under the 2009 Student Health and Physical Education (SHAPE) Act and brings together partners from education, early care and education, business, recreation, agriculture, nutrition, communities, academia, and public health to identify and implement approaches to address childhood obesity statewide in school, health care, and community settings.

ASPPH Data Center Provides Data Consultation to Emory

Ms. Emily Burke, ASPPH program manager of data analytics, met with Emory faculty and staff to assist Emory with using dashboards and reports in the ASPPH Data Center Portal analytics module to conduct internal analyses and to coordinate data efforts with offices in the University and other Colleges.
