Colorado Researchers: Injury Falls by Older Adults, Links to Driving Accidents

According to a new study by Colorado Researchers, older drivers who have had a history of falling are more likely to be involved in driving accidents.

The study, Associations Between Falls and Driving Outcomes in Older Adults, is the latest research released in the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.  Researchers including lead author, Mr. Kenneth Scott from the Colorado School of Public Health along with the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety say that falls can increase driving accidents in a couple of ways:

The research suggests older drivers should try to stay physically fit, and that families should view falls as a possible early sign of declining fitness.
