Columbia Assistant Professor Named 2014 Louis V. Gerstner Jr. Scholar

The College of Physicians and Surgeons selected physician-scientist Dr. Benjamin Lebwohl, Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health assistant professor of epidemiology, as a 2014 Louis V. Gerstner Jr. Scholar. Established in 2008 by the Louis V. Gerstner Jr. Foundation, the Scholars program supports early-career physician-scientists as they conduct innovative translational research that will lead to better therapies for patients. Selected scholars receive a stipend of $75,000 per year, for up to three years. The award is from the Gerstner Foundation and funding will begin July 1.
