Dr. Alfredo Morabia, professor of epidemiology at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, was named the new editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Public Health effective in June. “By publishing the best public health science, I am committed to safeguarding the prestige of the publication while advancing the accessibility of the journal through online and social media to a global audience of public health thinkers, practitioners and advocates,” Dr. Morabia told APHA.
Dr. Morabia is a former editor-in-chief of Preventive Medicine and currently serves as editor emeritus.
