The Research Committee advises the ASPPH Board on matters relating to ASPPH support of the science mission of members. These activities include but are not limited to:
- Increasing opportunities to communicate ASPPH views within leadership discussions at federal agency partners, especially at the National Institutes of Health.
- Increasing the national visibility of public health science.
- Providing opportunities for members to better understand changes in the research enterprise including new tools and methodologies and changes in regulatory structures.
This Task Force serves as a temporary committee pending the expected establishment of a standing committee of ASPPH later this year.
