ASPPH is pleased to announce the closing session for the 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting today, May 15, 1-2 PM ET, A Conversation with Dr. Anthony Fauci and Lessons Learned by Academic Public Health During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
This session focuses on (early) lessons learned from the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on America’s public health infrastructure and higher education. The session begins with a 30-minute interview of Dr. Anthony Fauci, director, NIH National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, by Dr. James Curran, dean, Emory Rollins School of Public health.
Dr. Fauci’s interview is followed by a panel discussion with academic public health leaders on how the pandemic has impacted academic public health: lessons learned, challenges, opportunities, and the road ahead. The discussion is moderated by Dr. Sandro Galea, dean, Boston University School of Public Health, with panelists Dr. Donna Arnett, dean, University of Kentucky College of Public Health, and Dr. Ana Diez Roux, dean, Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health.
