Since March 2015, ASPPH members have been reviewing and formulating reactions to the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation proposals undertaken as part of the Department of Education’s requirement for five year updates. For nearly 18 months ASPPH staff supported discussions during committee, council, section, and forum conference calls; in-person sessions during the 2015 and 2016 annual meetings; six open webinars; and, via the Online Community to gather members’ comments.
The ASPPH Accreditation Committee hosted a webinar yesterday to invite feedback on our final draft association-wide response to CEPH. Additional comments are requested by Friday, September 2 to Ms. Liz Weist at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the ASPPH comment submission process should not be considered a substitute for institutional or individual means of commenting. All are encouraged to comment directly to CEPH by emailing Ms. Mollie Mulvanity at email@example.com as well as through the many ASPPH channels for communicating your thoughts.
Many thanks to Dean David Goff (Colorado), chair of the Accreditation and Credentialing Committee, who is leading the ASPPH response, and to the many chairs and leaders among the various ASPPH groups assisting in crafting our recommendations.
