Dr. Amal Khoury, Associate Dean for Quality and Planning for the East Tennessee College of Public Health and professor and chair of the College’s Department of Health Services Management and Policy, has been named to the Advisory Council of the Coalition for Better Health.
Launched in January 2020, the Coalition for Better Health represents the first statewide nonprofit aimed at encouraging improvements in public and institutional health policies. The Coalition will coordinate and lead efforts to improve health conditions in Tennessee through advocacy, research, and coordination among the public and private sectors. It brings together state and local leaders, major employers, and grassroots citizens who recognize that preventing behavior-related diseases is as important as treating them.
“I am excited for the opportunity to support a statewide organization focused on prevention and advocacy for policy change at both the public and institutional levels,” stated Dr. Khoury.Friday Letter Submission, Publish on February 21
