Dr. Liang Wang, MD, DrPH, MPH, Assistant Professor of Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the ETSU College of Public Health, was recently appointed as the Chair of the Public Relationship Committee for the North American Chinese Society for Nutrition (NASCN).

Since joining the NASCN, Dr. Wang has taken on leadership roles within the society. He is the Chair of the Webinar Committee. He organizes and hosts guest lecturers who speak on a wide range of nutritional topics. He also co-edits the monthly newsletter in which members of the society share their research topics, grant approvals, and facilitates collaboration for nutrition research. In addition, Dr. Wang also helps coordinate the obesity study research group and facilitate collaborations between China and the U.S.
Dr. Wang was selected as the only trainee from the U.S. to participate in the 5th Chinese Nutrition Leadership Programme held in China, a joint training program of the China Nutrition Society and International Union of Nutritional Sciences, which aims at fostering an international focus among future leaders in the field of nutrition.
The NACSN was founded in April 2012 to provide a platform for networking and scientific among investigators of Chinese descent in nutrition, health and related fields of interest.
