ASPPH Presents Webinar, Innovative Approaches to Engaging the Public Sector

ASPPH Presents, Innovative Approaches to Engaging the Public Sector

In this webinar, presenters discuss how schools and programs of public health can close the gap between academic research and practice. Mechanisms include: small faculty grants for dissemination, translation; support for consultation with public officials and agencies; co-hiring staff for public health agencies; and the strategic convening of “expert panels” to guide policy. The webinar highlights multiple examples of mechanisms to bridge research and practice.

Learning Objective:

Webinar participants will be able to describe specific ways schools and programs of public health can achieve greater impact in improving health by creating opportunities to bridge research and practice.
