ASTHO and Alzheimer’s Association Webinar on State/Regional Needs Assessments Related to Dementia

The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), together with the Alzheimer’s Association, will co-host a webinar for public health professionals on conducting state or regional needs assessments related to Alzheimer’s and other dementias, a fast growing public health issue. On June 8 from 3-4 p.m. Eastern, the webinar will feature presentations from Michelle Ries, Project Director of the North Carolina Institute of Medicine, and Babak Nayeri, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Arizona, on needs assessments that were conducted in North Carolina and Arizona respectively. Molly French, Director of Public Health at the Alzheimer’s Association, will also provide an overview of a new toolkit: Needs Assessment Toolkit: Guidance and Resources for State Public Health Agencies on Comprehensive Needs Assessments Related to Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias. ASTHO is accepting registrations for the webinar.
