Join an experiential learning opportunity, Equity and Transparency by Design in Student Assignments, preceding the Undergraduate Public Health and Global Health Education Summit. The interactive workshop, facilitated by Dr. Susan Albertine (Vice President, retired, Association of American Colleges and Universities), aims to provide intermediate-level participants with new and/or improved abilities to apply equity and transparency in designing well-scaffolded assignments that support each of their students in meeting the desired learning outcomes and positioning them for success.

 Target Audience

Undergraduate and graduate public health faculty with intermediate experience in designing and scaffolding student assignments

Learning Objectives

Participants will leave the workshop able to:

  • Define equity and transparency in relation to assignments
  • Use guidelines to create assignments that are transparent to students
  • Design intentionally scaffolded assignments
  • Design assignments that seek to achieve equitable outcomes among students
