HealthStreet, a community engagement program at the University of Florida, is hosting a free national Our Community, Our Health town hall event on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Eastern entitled “Catalyzing leadership and community-engagement for maternal and child health equity.” Our Community, Our Health is a series of conversations between researchers and community members from across the country.
The event can be viewed Nov. 6 via livestream (meeting ID 630 385 120). The event will be held in-person at Florida State University’s campus in the FSU Research Foundation Building A, room 120.

This interactive town hall is designed to stimulate catalytic conversations toward leadership in health equity using an innovative format in which participants share lived experience. Panel members will include Dr. Camara Jones of Harvard University, Dr. Penny Ralston of Florida State University, Rev. Roosevelt Rogers of Old Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Ms. Courtney Atkins of Whole Child Leon, Dr. Joedrecka Brown Speights of Florida State University and Ms. Miaisha Mitchell of Greater Frenchtown Revitalization Council.
