The seminar will be held from 12 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Milken Institute SPH building at 950 New Hampshire Ave., NW, 5th floor conference room. Please note, guests will need to bring photo identification and sign in at the front desk in order to gain access to the building. A light lunch will be served.
The department of epidemiology and biostatistics at Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University (Milken Institute SPH) will host the seminar, “Health and Healthcare in Peru: Current Research and Future Steps,” on June 24. Guest speaker Dr. Javier Ponce, executive director of the International Center for Advanced Research and Applied Science (INCAAS), will provide an overview of Peru’s current health system and needs, including his work as the principal investigator of an upcoming survey in Peru on healthcare service utilization funded by the Peruvian National Institute of Health. He will also share results of a recent study on the challenges and opportunities Peru has to build an integrated primary care system.
