The workshop aims to prepare scholars interested in Hispanic health research strengthen their skills and knowledge to perform analytical studies of public health datasets to better contribute to Hispanic and other underserved populations. The workshop is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Minority Health and in collaboration with the HHS/National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Session Topics: Latino Health Disparities, NIH Fellowships, Pathways and PMF Fellowship, Strategies to Submit Successful NIH Grants, NIH Loan Repayment Programs, Mentoring, Networking, Pipeline Programs, Veteran’s Health, Social Determinate of Health, CDC’s Hispanic Vital Signs Report, NAHANES, BRFSS, CHIS, SOL, Systematic Reviews, and more.

We are still accepting abstracts for our poster session on Monday June 29th. abstracts may focus on Hispanic health research (i.e., primary and secondary data analysis) and Hispanic health workforce (e.g., mentorship, internships, etc). 300 word abstracts are due June 10th.
