Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is hosting a guest lecture on Friday, February 22.
Dr. Homer Venters, senior health and justice fellow at Community Oriented Correctional Health Services, will discuss the health risks of incarceration. Dr. Venters is author of the new book, Life and Death in Rikers Island (2019, The Johns Hopkins University Press).
The lecture is co-sponsored by the Johns Hopkins Institute for Health and Social Policy and the Center for Public and Health and Human Rights.
