The department of environmental health and engineering, which spans the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, is hosting a guest lecture on Friday, April 26.
The seminar will feature Dr. Kristian Andersen, associate professor, immunology and microbiology, Scripps Research. Dr. Anderson will discuss “outbreakiomics,” which uses infectious disease genomics to investigate how highly pathogenic viruses (Ebola, Zika) emerge and cause large-scale outbreaks.
