The annul Henrietta Lacks Memorial Lecture will take place on Saturday Oct. 6 at the Turner Auditorium on the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore Campus.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Francis S. Collins, the current director of the National Institutes of Health. Guest speakers include members of the Lacks family and Dr. and Mrs. Pattillo of Morehouse College.
At the event, the Urban Health Institute, which is based at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, will announce the 2018 winners of the Henrietta Lacks Memorial Community Award and the Henrietta Lacks Dunbar Health Sciences Scholarship.
