Johns Hopkins To Host Panel Discussion Clade X Pandemic Exercise, Oct. 31

The Center for Health Security, based at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, is hosting a presentation and panel discussion about pandemic preparedness policy on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Panelists will give an inside look of Clade X, a pandemic tabletop exercise that simulated a series of National Security Council–convened meetings of 10 U.S. government leaders played by prominent people in the fields of national security and epidemic response. The Center hosted Clade X in Washington, D.C., earlier this year to illustrate high-level strategic decisions needed to prevent a pandemic or diminish its consequences should prevention fail.

The exercise received international media attention and continues to draw interest from public health policymakers all over the world.

Free lunch and limited-edition Clade X GIANTmicrobes® will be available to guests on a first come, first served basis.

The event is open to the public. Space is limited. Contact Dr. Crystal Watson at cwatson@jhu.edu.
