Join the University of Maryland School of Public Health’s Community Engagement, Environmental Justice, and Health (CEEJH) Laboratory for a special lecture by Dr. Robert Bullard, distinguished professor of urban planning and environmental policy in the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs at Texas Southern University in Houston, to give the seventh annual CEEJH lecture. Dr. Bullard will present a talk titled, “The Wrong Complexion for Protection: Race, Place and the Politics of Pollution.”
Often described as the “father of environmental justice,” Dr. Bullard received his PhD from Iowa State University and is the author of 18 books that address sustainable development, environmental racism, urban land use, industrial facility siting, community reinvestment, housing, transportation, climate justice, emergency response, smart growth, and regional equity.
