Join us for the 2019 Gaylord Anderson lecture, “Preparing for (y)our longer life,” presented by Linda P. Fried, Dean and DeLamar Professor of Public Health at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health on Mon, Feb. 4 in Minneapolis. The event is part of the University of Minnesota School of Public Health’s 75th anniversary celebration.
The addition of 30 years to life expectancy changes societal opportunities as well as needs. With the opportunity to live longer and healthier lives, Fried believes that we can now create a new model for aging that benefits all generations. She calls it the Third Demographic Dividend — an asset that can offer real meaning for everyone involved and needed support for our society. Learn more about Fried’s ideas in this Q&A article.
Free and open to the public.
