Working With Journalists
Excited about your research results, but do not know how to share them with a non-academic audience? Tired of public health headlines that over-promise and under-explain? Wondering why some issues receive media coverage and others do not? Join the Consortium of Universities for Global Health and the Pulitzer Center for a workshop on how to pitch a story and translate information to a lay audience. At this one-day event, health journalists will discuss their reporting processes and the role of experts in their investigations. Attendees will participate in activities that explore journalism’s place in the global health landscape, skills for sharing information with non-academics, and how to create story pitches.
