The Health Workforce Technical Assistance Training Center (HWTAC), based at the University at Albany School of Public Health’s Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS), will host a webinar on the topic of Entry and Exit of Workers in Long-Term Care. The webinar, scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm EDT, will feature Bianca K. Frogner, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Family Medicine and Director, Center for Health Workforce Studies, University of Washington School of Medicine, and Joanne Spetz, PhD, FAAN, Professor, Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies and Associate Director for Research Strategy, Center for the Health Professions at the University of California San Francisco. The webinar will presents findings from a recent study conducted by the Health Workforce Research Center on Long-Term Care at the University of California, San Francisco, on the job transitions of long-term care workers. The study used the Current Population Survey to examine from which jobs and settings workers entered and exited long-term care. Study findings identify the demographic, socioeconomic, and health factors associated with these transitions.
HWTAC was formed as a partnership between CHWS and the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina. HWTAC is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Health Resources and Services Administration in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
