University at Albany SUNY School of Public Health’s Center for Public Health Continuing Education will host a free, live webcast on Crossroads: The Built Environment, Health and the New York State Prevention Agenda, Thursday, November 20, 2014, 9:00 am – 10:00 am EDT. Speakers include Nathan Graber, MD, MPH, Director, Center for Environmental Health, NYS Department of Health and Karen Derusha, Principal Public Health Educator, Clinton County (NY) Health Department, Health Planning and Promotion Division. The program will describe the built environment goals in the New York State Prevention Agenda, how the built environment can affect health, and introduce some ways of assessing and changing the built environment. The webcast will highlight how Clinton County in New York State is implementing strategies to change the built environment to improve population based health outcomes.
