The Health Workforce Technical Assistance Training Center (HWTAC), based at the University at Albany School of Public Health’s Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS), will host a webinar on the topic on Building a State Health Workforce Center: Lessons Learned in the Carolinas. The free webinar, scheduled for Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, will feature Ms. Linda M. Lacey, director of Office for Healthcare Workforce Analysis and Planning, South Carolina AHEC.
The webinar will focus on lessons learned during the start-up of health workforce centers based on Ms. Lacey’s experience setting up a center in North Carolina focused on the nursing workforce and a center in South Carolina focused on all health workforce groups.
HWTAC was formed as a partnership between CHWS and the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina. HWTAC is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Health Resources and Services Administration in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
