UIC Hosts 3rd Annual Northern Illinois Rural Public Health Institute

The MidAmerica Public Health Training Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Northern Illinois Rural Public Health Institute on August 5-7, 2014. The theme for this year’s Institute is Reflecting on the Past, Preparing for the Future and will provide half- and full-day training on current, timely topics in the area of rural public health. The Institute is designed to provide an opportunity for professional growth, educational enrichment, and networking to those professionals who work in the fields of rural public health, health care, surveillance, epidemiology, preparedness, EMSC, mental health, chronic disease, agriculture, and education. At the conclusion of this institute, participants will be able to understand and analyze trends and developments in the field of rural public health through lectures, exercises, discussions, and professional networking.
