Join the UIC School of Public health for a screening of the documentary Raising Bertie. In the film, director Margaret Byrne depicts an honest and in-depth look at issues facing rural America’s youth and what happens in the everyday lives of people caught in the complex interplay of generational poverty, economic isolation, and educational inequality.
The screening is free and open to the public and will be followed by a Q&A with the director.
